About the Artist

Color is my passion and I have been involved in fine arts, painting, sketching and scribbling for most of my life. Piggy-Wig is one of my illustrations for The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear: "And there in a wood a piggy-wig stood…"

Recently, my acrylic painting, Brain Beauty, Beauty Brain was selected for the Reading room of the Camano Island Library. Yay for libraries! I write and illustrate stories for children, experimenting with the medium that seems right for each project usually, paint, ink, woodblock or monotype prints, often combined or revised digitally. Occasionally, I pause to glance out my studio window to glimpse flying selkis, blue herons and pirate ships.
