Moon Ladder, 2016, Watercolor and Pen. This piece is inspired by a short story from Italo Calvino's Cosmicomics. Several friends row out to the moon in order to climb it.

About the Artist

Aaron Bagley is an illustrator and comics maker from Seattle, Washington. He spent his childhood drawing on a giant roll of paper he received as a Christmas gift and hasn't stopped since. In 2004 he received his BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. His work published in several publications including the Seattle Weekly and The Stranger. He recently illustrated Rocking Fatherhood (De Capo 2016) and is collaborating with his wife, Jessixa Bagley, on his first picture book for Roaring Brook Press. He spends his days documenting life in his sketchbooks and looking for airplanes in the sky with his son Baxter.
