Aurora and Diane

Aurora and Diane

Artist Lisa Sheets often depicts 20th century women, and often from different generations. Sheets believed that they reflect the changing look of women through the years, allowing us to look back at our ancestors and see the many similarities and differences between us and the "she" of the past. That can be seen in this piece "Aurora and Diane": hand-in-hand, two generations of women in an implied conversation, one looking forward, and the other pointing, perhaps to the future.
